Ventura Polic on Thursday arrested a suspect in connection with Saturday's shooting of a man in the 300 block of West Ramona Street.
Police said the victim was shot in the torso as he was walking home with his wife after a large party in the 300 block of West Ramona Street.
The victim was shot after trying to break up a fight. Police said one of the combatants pointed a handgun at the man and shot him in the upper torso.
The victim was taken to the Ventura County Medical Center where he was treated and released for a wound that was not life-threatening.
Police said they arrested Armando Garcia, 20, in connection with the shooting after he was found riding a bicycle along Ventura Avenue on Thursday.
He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, gang-related terrorism and possession of a concealed weapon.
The shooting was the second in the area within a few days. On Sept. 14, a 22-year-old Ventura man was shot in the upper torso while standing with a group of friends in a driveway in the 100 block of West Ramona. In that incident, a gunman walked up, shot him and ran away, police said.
