Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with at least 12 bank robberies, including the robberies of Chase branches Sept. 26 in Camarillo and Oct. 8 in Thousand Oaks.
Authorities said Scott James Larson, 43, was arrested at the San Diego FBI office on Monday without incident.
He surrendered to agents after learning he was being sought in connection with the robberies.
Dubbed the Mr. Magoo Bandit, Larson is suspected of a dozen bank robberies in California and Nevada starting on Nov. 23, 2010, in San Diego. Officials said Larson confessed to robbing a US Bank in San Diego on Sept. 7. Larson is alleged to have passed a note to the teller demanding money in that robbery.
