Oxnard Police were looking for a suspect who attempted to rob a 41-year-old man with a handgun.
The victim said he was parked in the 5200 block of Longfellow Way when he was approached by a man on foot who demanded money.
The victim refused and the suspect pulled out a handgun. The victim then sped away in his vehicle and the suspect shot at the victim as he was driving away.
The victim's vehicle was hit by gunfire but he was not injured. The suspect was described as a man with short black bushy hair, wearing a black T-shirt and blue pants.
Officers searched the area for about three hours, but were unable to find the suspect.
