A Camarillo business owner was arrested Oct. 13 in connection with what authorities said was the deliberate burning of a vehicle along the 400 block of Calle San Pablo on Aug. 17.
Camarillo police and Ventura County firefighters responded to the blaze, authorities said. Investigators determined that arson was involved in the fire.
Investigators allege Juan Rivera Suarez, 35, of Ventura had the vehicle taken to a remote location and then set on fire for the purpose of insurance fraud.
Suarez was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and arson, Camarillo police said.
He was taken to Ventura County jail, authorities said.
