Robber makes off with property in Ventura

Police said they responded about 3:25 p.m. to a report of a robbery in the 100 block of South Catalina Street. Police said that as the victim was walking on Catalina Street, the robber approached him and demanded property. The robber threatened to shoot the victim, but no weapon was seen, police said.
After a brief struggle, the victim handed over his property and the robber ran away, police said. Officers searched the area but could not find the robber. The victim suffered minor injuries to his hands and legs, police said.
The robber was described as a male in his late teens, 5 feet 6 inches, with a thin build and black hair.
