40-year-old Justo Mora Navarro was arrested for murder Saturday for the shotgun slaying of Gilberto Aguilera Feb. 1.
Navarro will be arraigned April 27 for the murder.
Navarro initially was booked into jail on a misdemeanor drug charge when he turned himself in to police about five hours after the shooting at a Somis nursery.
Aguilera, 36, died from a shotgun blast to the abdomen.
Navarro had filed a Request for Orders to Stop Harassment on May 10, claiming Aguilera had failed to obey an earlier agreement to stay away from his fiancée, Maria Luna, 61. Aguilera was the boyfriend of the daughter of Navarro's fiancée for six or seven years, according to court papers.
