Camarillo police arrested four people on Wednesday in connection with a Feb. 24 assault and robbery.
Those arrested were Mario Magdaleno, 24; Christian Grimaldo, 18; and two Camarillo teens, one 15 and the other 16. At about 8:25 p.m. on Feb, 24, they assaulted and robbed a 13-year-old.
One person hit the youth over the head with a metallic object and took his backpack. The 13-year-old had to be taken to Pleasant Valley Hospital for his wound.
The four are facing charges of street gang terrorism, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon.
If you were involved in these crimes or are being charged with robbery, immediately contacting a criminal defense lawyer is likely the most important thing you can do. Robbery and armed robbery are felony offenses that may land you with significant prison time if convicted, depending on the circumstances of the offense.
Robbery may be punishable by 2 to 9 years in prison. A defendant may face an additional 10 years in prison for displaying a gun, 20 years for firing a gun and 25 years to life for causing serious injury to another person with a gun.
Robbery and armed robbery are also considered "strike" offenses under the state's Three Strikes law.
