A Bellflower man has been charged in connection with a foreclosure fraud operation targeting Ventura County residents.
Aquilino Hernandez, 46, was arrested Tuesday in Bellflower after an investigation by the Ventura County District Attorney's Office and charged with two counts of foreclosure consultant fraud.
Hernandez and his business Terra Bella Management targeted mostly Spanish-speaking residents of Ventura County, collecting thousands of dollars in up-front fees while promising to save their homes from foreclosure. He provided no actual services, and the clients eventually lost their homes.
If convicted, Hernandez faces a maximum of three years and eight months in prison.
