A former Ventura County deputy pleaded guilty Thursday to four counts of child sex crimes.
Thomas Terry Triplett, 41, from Camarillo, also pleaded guilty to two counts of oral copulation with a child under 16.
Triplett was a 15-year veteran of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. He now must register as a sex offender and pay restitution to the victim, who was identified as Triplett's relative.
Triplett will allegedly serve 10 years and eight months behind bars as part of a plea bargain, and then five years on parole after release.
