A 26-year-old man, Alan Reyes, and 24-year-old woman, Vanessa Cease, were killed by a wrong-way driver Wednesday on the 91 Freeway in Anaheim.
The two were killed a little after 1 a.m. when Anthony Louis Fragoso, 21, drove his Mercedes-Benz west in the eastbound car-pool lane, colliding with Reyes' car.
Reyes and Cease were pronounced dead at the scene, and Fragoso is listed in critical condition at UCI Medical Center.
Whether Fragoso was under the influence of drugs or alcohol still remains under investigation. He is now being charged with suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, but more charges will be added if Fragoso is found to have been under the influence.
