Three stabbed in Oxnard Thursday night

A suspect, Jonathan Zambrano, was arrested Thursday night for stabbing two people in Oxnard.

One victim flagged down officers in the area of Channel Islands Boulevard and M Street.

The victims were riding skateboards when two people approached them. One grabbed one of the skateboarders, and the other stabbed him three times. The victim then pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the suspects in self-defense.

Both stabbing victims were taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.

Zambrano was placed in Ventura County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Another person was listed in serious condition at a local hospital in an unrelated stabbing Thursday night. However, there might be a connection between the two Oxnard stabbings.
