Vehicle burglaries near hiking trails in Malibu

A dozen vehicle burglaries have been reported near hiking trails in the Lost Hills, Malibu and nearby areas.
Authorities are warning hikers about this rash of vehicle burglaries near their local trail heads.
Burglars have been targeting cars belonging to hikers who are out on trails, smashing their windows and stealing items such as purses, credit cards and cell phones.
According to authorities, burglars have been quickly using stolen credit cards.
Most of the burglaries occurred between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends. No suspects or suspect vehicles have been found.
