One man and five juveniles on suspicion of conspiring to burglarize a house in Ventura were arrested Sunday. Police said they received a call about 12:45 p.m. from a resident who reported seeing two males attempting to enter the house and a vehicle speeding away. The officers spotted two juveniles nearby, detained them and determined they had fled the house without stealing anything.
Other officers stopped a vehicle matching the description provided by the caller and arrested the driver, Anthony Solis, and the other three male juvenile passengers.
Solis was booked into Ventura County jail on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and being under the influence of a controlled substance. The juveniles were taken to a Juvenile Hall.
Although, they didn't rob anything, they were involved in breaking and entering with the intent of committing theft or a felony offense once inside.
A defendant in Los Angeles may face misdemeanor or felony charges for burglary, which may also mean a "strike" on his or her record, resulting in greatly enhanced penalties for future felony convictions.
