A 52-year-old Ventura woman was kidnapped and then robbed about midday on April 20.
Police said the woman was sitting at a bus stop in the 1500 block of North Ventura Avenue about noon when a woman in her 40s and a man in his early 20s approached her.
The woman told the victim she had a winning lottery ticket but could not cash it as she was not a U.S. citizen.
The woman asked for the victim's help and she and the man told the victim to get into their vehicle, threatening to harm one of her relatives if she did not.
The woman got into a black SUV and was driven to her home in west Ventura where she was demanded to go inside and get valuables.
When she returned, she got back into the vehicle and was driven around the west end of town for about two hours. She was eventually released unharmed in the 700 block of North Ventura Avenue.
