Police are looking for two men in connection with the robbery of a Ventura smoke shop late Monday night.
The robbers were loitering inside the Wild Side Smoke Shop after closing at about 10:45 p.m. when the store clerk asked them to leave. They then walked behind the counter and told him that they were going to take whatever they wanted.
Fearing for his safety, the clerk backed away and the suspects grabbed several items from the store then left out the front door. The clerk avoided injury.
One robber was described as a 6-foot-4, heavy set man in his early 20s with a shaved head and tattoos on his arms. The other was a thin man in his early 20s, about 5-foot-7 with a shaved head.
If you or someone you know is facing robbery charges, the best thing you can do is hire a criminal defense lawyer. Robbery and armed robbery are felony offenses that may lead to significant prison time.
