L.A. County sheriff's deputies were looking Tuesday for a third suspect in the burglary of a Diamond Bar home that led to a manhunt and the lockdown of a nearby school.
Deputies investigating a burglary report early Monday afternoon saw three suspects running from a home in the 23000 block of Chandelle Place, a Sheriff's Department spokesman said. The suspects dropped bags allegedly filled with stolen items.
Deputies surrounded the area and asked nearby Lorbeer Middle School to go on temporary lockdown and to control dismissals to prevent students from entering the search area.
Two suspects -- Dotson Brown, 25, and Richard Brown, 18 -- were arrested after they broke into a nearby home in an effort to elude capture.
The third suspect, identified as a man in his early 20s, was being sought by deputies.
If you or someone you know has been charged with burglary in the Los Angeles area, the best thing you can do is hire a criminal defense lawyer.
A defendant in Los Angeles may face misdemeanor or felony charges for burglary, depending on the type of structure entered as well as the use of a weapon and other factors. A felony burglary conviction on a defendant's record may also mean a "strike" on his or her record, resulting in greatly enhanced penalties for future felony convictions.
