Los Angeles Gangs Getting More Aggressive

In Los Angeles it is well understood that being in a gang puts you at great risk for violent acts. But recently the question could be asked, 'Has it become as unsafe to have no gang affiliation in LA as to be in a gang?'
The answer seems to be, 'Apparently so'. Two brothers were killed this week in Glassell park while on their way to a liquor store.
Jose and Samuel Martinez and a friend were heading to the store when several suspects approached them and asked about their gang affiliation. When the brothers said they were not in a gang they were gunned down on the spot. Each died on the scene of a single gun shot wound.
The friend, Marvin Gonzalez, was also shot and is critical condition in a la hospital. Local police are asking for anyone having information about this crime to call the Northwest homicide detectives.
