Floyd Mayweather who is currently one of the top ranked boxers pound for pound and was ranked number 14, just behind Tiger Woods, by Forbes magazine as one of the biggest celebrity paydays of 2007, was arrested on charges of domestic battery.
Mayweather's girlfriend, and mother of his three children, has accused him of beating her in front of their children.
Police were orginally called to the situation because of an accusation that Floyd stole a cell phone. He was arrested for grand larceny and taken into custody. While on the scene authorities say the couple did aruge, however they saw no evidence of a physical altercation that Josie Harris and her lawyers are now asking courts to add to the charges of the night.
"He awoke me by pulling me by my hair and throwing me on the ground in my living room and began punching me in my head ... dragging me on the floor and twisting my arm back in an attempt to try and break it," Harris has stated.
The case is all over internet tabloids and although the investigation is still pending, no battery charges had been filed.
Los Angeles Defense Attorney Robert Micahel Helfend could help in this case. Because of his experience in cases like these Mr. Helfend knows the legal manuvers that can be used to find the best outcome possible.
