Nearly Eight Hour Standoff Ends Peacfully

At almost midnight last Wednesday police were called to a situation involving a domestic dispute. They ended up being at the residence for nearly eight hours difusing first the situation where the man locked himself in the home and then what they thought could have been a bomb.
A girlfriend and boyfriend who were not identified had been fighting over finances. The Los Angeles Police Department SWAT team was called in then the man barricaded himself inside the home claiming to have weapons he would use if his boundaries were breached.
Police were able to talk him out of the house shortly before five am and no one was hurt in the process.
However, while searching the residence for weapons the bomb squad was called in because of a suspicious device. The entire ordeal was over just before 7 am and authorites were happy to report that the device was not an explosiveand no one was injured throught the night.
