Laguna Hills Nursing Home Death Baffles Police

Late Friday night emergency workers responded to a terrible crime sceneat a place where most feel is a safe environment.
The Palm Terrace Healthcare Center, a 99-bed residential facility in Laguna Hills, was the scene of a gruesome murder where an 81 year old man allegedly beat his 94 year old roomate to death.
Reports say that William McDougall took the bar from his closet and hit Manh Ban Nguyen over the head with it repeatedly. Investigators aren't sure what motivated the act or if McDougal was somehow provoked into such an extreme show of violence.
Later that same night Nguyen was pronouced dead at a local hspital. Authorites will continue to search for details in this case in hopes of explaining some small part of the tragedy to the families involved.
