Eighty four year old Betty Sugiyama was standing on the platform of the metro station in Little Toyko when she was pushed to her death by another woman. The attack had no apparent motive as witnesses say that forty four year old Jackkqueline Pogue simply pushed the old woman off the ledge without any provocation.
Police arrested Pogue soon after the crime. Los Angeles Police reported that the corners said that Sugiyama was not struck by a train. She did however succomb to her injuries and died at a nearby hospital that night.
Pogue will more thn likely face murder charges andmany years in prison.
