Abdelghani Meskini was convicted in 2001 of being involved with a terrorist plot to plant a bomb at the Los Angeles Airport. He was sentenced to six years in prison and was then placed on probation upon his release.
However, he was recently discovered trying to purchase an AK-47 assault rifle. This not only violates his probation, and will more than likely send him back to prison, but it's also extremely scary.
During his two week trial in the first weeks of October, witnesses were brought forth saying that he had advised a prostitute on how to better advertise to maximize her sales. Another man also testified that Meskini was part of a credit card and identity theft scam with him. However, the judge ruled that consorting with the two did not violate the terms of his parole by consorting with known criminals.
The man in this case will more than likely spend some time behind bars again. His attorney can greatly help or hinder this process. Los Angeles Defense Attorney Robert Michael Helfend would be able to help with an arsenal of legal tactics in his pocket to use in an aggressive defense.
