Sean Penn
Sean Penn, Two-time Best Actor Oscar winner, was charged with battery and vandalism because of an October skirmish with a celebrity photographer where Penn kicked the man.
Penn pleaded no contest to the charges and was convicted last Wednesday. He was senteced to informal probation and was ordered to complete 300 hours of community service. The judge told Sean that he could complete the hours through his relif efforts for the victims of the hurricaine in Haiti.
"Prolonging this matter in the court system would not have been in Mr. Penn's best interests and would have distracted from his charitable commitments, specifically his work in Haiti," Penn's attorney Richard Hirsch said. "Accordingly he has decided to accept the terms and move on."
Sean must also complete 36 hours of anger management and must remain 100 yards away from that specific photographer. A man who is now also suing him in civil court.
