Authorities have confirmed that Martha Carmona, 21, is one of the two victims that were stabbed to death in Canoga Park. He six year old daughter, who's name has not been released, was also fatally stabbed. Carmona's husband was among those interviewed in conjuction with the crimes but was not taken into custody.

The bodies were found around 1:30 p.m. last Friday in a house on Remmet Ave. Both were reported as homicides due to stabbings. Police remained at the scene some 12 hours after they arrived on the scene.
"Los Angeles firefighters responded to the location and found the two dead," Officer Gregory Baek of the police department's Media Relations Section said Friday afternoon. "Each had apparent knife wounds and cutting wounds."
Several details are still unknown in the case. Initially, police told reporters that the mother found was 35 years old and that the little girl was 5 and they are still unsure as to wether or not the husband is also the father of the child or not.
They are sure that the murders were not gang related, however, no information about a suspect or suspects have been released.
"Everything is open," Moreno said late Friday. "Detectives are looking at everything."
