The Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement Major Narcotics and Violence Team arrested two suspects and confiscate 1.5 million dollars worth of Meth and Cocaine on April 30th. Both Ramon Salazar Camargo, 33, a resident of Sinaloa, Mexico and Jesus Lopez, 21, were arrested after an undercover operation in which Camargo sold narcotics to police officers.
After the first arrest the Narcotics officers went to a house on the 400 block of Guardia Avenue and siezed the 1.5 million dollars in drugs along with eight firearms, and 30 thousand dollars in cash. Bail has been set for three million dollars each.
Drug charges are serious and require an aggressive defensive plan put together by a great attorney. Los Angeles Defense Attorney Robert Michael Helfend has been doing just that for over two decades. He will fight for the rights of anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.
"Whether you are charged with a state or a federal drug offense, you still maintain certain rights under the 4th, 5th, 6th and 14th amendments to the Constitution of the United States and the State of California. I will file all appropriate pretrial illegal search and seizure motions for purposes of protecting your rights and limiting the government's evidence against you at trial. We can sometimes obtain an order to suppress the admission into evidence of the seized drugs. Keeping you out of prison is my foremost objective, and one for which I have earned a reputation for success." - Robert Helfend
