Los Angeles Defense Attorney Robert Michael Helfend has never found a case too big to tackle. He will listen to all of the details and the list of charges and then turn out a plan of attack. Mr. Helfend believes that being trustworthy and truthful to his clients is the only way to do his type of business and laments that fact that so many of the men and women in his profession choose to go another route.
As in the case of Rudy Barbosa, a 24 year old resident of El Monte, had a very busy day on Thursday. He allegedly started out at 5am by robbing a 7-eleven in El Monte. Police say he then went on to a carjacking in Los Angeles after which he was shot at a pawn shop.
The wound apparently didn't slow Barbosa at all, he next stabbed someone in the Valley mall, robbed items from a family garage all before leading police on a high speed chase which ended in his capture and arrest.
"He was involved in a several-city crime spree," said Detective Ralph Batres of the El Monte Police Department.
In this case Ventura Defense Attorney Robert Helfend would simply explain to his client what he is being charged with and what if any ways out of it he could find. He would then work with his client keeping him informed the entire time of his options and next steps.
