At Donocan State Prison in Otay Mesa, 49-year-old Frank Baca who was doing time for murder, fatally stabbed another inmate on Monday.
The other man was doing time for theft related charges and was wounded at around 10:35 pm. He was then flown UCSD medical center where he died shortly thereafter.

A guard saw Baca running across the recreational yard, which was filled with around 200 inmates at the time, and alerted the rest of the staff. Police still have no idea why the man was killed but the investigation is ongoing.
