Late on Sunday police in Los Angeles were led on a short chase that led to a rail yard and ultimately a rail car full of marijuana. Jesse Lopez, 28, Justin Coffey, 18 and Kristopher Maldonado, 19 were found in a car with marijuana that appeared to have been stored in oil.
Police notice the oil on the boys' clothing and thus the chase began.
Officers were able to begin unloading a massive ammount of marijuana, who's origin is still unknown, in the rail yard. The operation stopped midway due to a suspicious cylidar found within the tanker. Ater the cylinder was detonated, not damaging the tanker it'self, the seizure continued.
Police removed over 156 pounds of the drug from the tanker. Two officers reported accelerated heartrates and were sent to the hospital to be checked out. No injuries were reported.
The boys will now likely face a lenthy investigation and trial. First authorities must determine where the drugs came from as the paperwork for the tanker was sketchy at best. The railway is cooperating completely.
