This week 56 year old Abdul Tawfiq of Los Angeles, was sentenced in Boise Idaho to three years in prison for aggravated identity theft and bank fraud committed last year. Danielle Webb was arrested at the same time for her ties to the fraud and was sentenced to sixteen months in prison.
Pleading guilty to the charges Tawfiq admitted that he drove from Los Angeles to Boise where he tried to withdraw money from accounts that were not his, using false identification to do so. The Secret Service said this was not the first time Abdul had attempted this type of fraud. Investigators stated that he has been
successful in several other states.
