On a night in February of 2009 Jasmine Voskanian opened her front door after hearing a knock. She was shot in the face and died at the scene.
The horrific crime was said to have most likely been over money. Voskanian apparently owed money to a man by the name of Armen Mangasaryan, who is only 29 years old, and as far as anyone can guess this is the reason he shot her. This week he was convicted of the crime and sentenced to fifty years to life.
Two other people were tried in the case as well. Arpiar Terrgalstanyan, 21, drove the getaway car and was convicted of second degree murder. He will now have to serve 16 plus years for the crime. Twenty Seven year old Bella Stepanyan was able to plead no contest to charges of accessory after the fact and will therefore only spend 360 days in jail and then probation.

When we meet, I will clearly explain the charges against you, what you should expect next, and how your decisions will affect your case. The relationship of trust and honest communication that you develop with your murder defense lawyer will become your most important asset over the next several months and even years. I will be there for you. I will use every possible legal maneuver to have your charges dismissed or dropped." - Robert Helfend
