The residents of a relatively quiet apartment complex in the west Hollywood area reported hearing gunshots around 9pm lasts Thursday. When police arrived they found three men dead inside one of the apartments.
Authorities will not give details in an ongoing investigation but they have said that the victims appear to have been targeted. The three, Pirooz Moussazadeh, 27; his brother, Shahriar Moussazadeh, 38; and Bernard Khalili, 27, don't seem to have been involved in any apparent crimes and there were no drugs or weapons in the building.
Investigators have hinted that it may have been a botched robbery.
"I can say that we are throwing a lot of resources at this case," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Pat Nelson wrote in an e-mail, adding that some of the department's most experienced investigators worked the case throughout Thursday night. "Their efforts included scene sketches, photographs, latent print searches, firearms experts, and testing for biological evidence."
One women said she saw several people coming and going from the area of the apartment where the men were found just before and after the shooting.
Los Angeles Defense Attorney Robert Michael Helfend could and would help in a case like this. Those accused will need a well thought out defense plan and Robert Helfend can put that together for them.
Because of his many years as a defense attorney Ventura County Defense Attorney Robert Helfend is able to use many legal maneuvers in an effort to see charges reduced or dropped whenever possible.
