Three people were arrested in connection with a 43 acre brush fire in the Los Angeles area this past week. Apparently the blaze was set by two 14 year old boys, one of whom was smoking pot and dropped his lighter.
The two boys, who's names were not released, were sitting in a field of dry brush and at least one of them was smoking marijuana. That boy accidentally dropped the lighter he was using setting a blaze that burned for over two hours. 30 homes were evacuated but there were no reported injuries.
Two other individuals, who were not together but seemed to be working toward the same goal, were also arrested later when they refused to move out of the way so that firefighting helicopters could drop water on the flames. Authorities said that Anthony Fierro, 33 and a 16 year old boy seemed to want to be close to the fire. They were charged with obstructing firefighters.
