Ventura County Insurance Fraud

Back in October of 2007, forty nine year old Rufino Perez reported to authorities that his pick up truck had been stolen from in front of his house and then filed an insurance claim. Later police found that he was late on his payments and that his truck was in Mexico.

This week Perez was sentenced to three years probation and 180 days in county jail. He pleaded guilty to the charges.
