A shooting in Rialto, California, a town about 55 miles northeast of Los Angeles, has police gang unit officers interviewing as many witnesses as they can find. Apparently an unknown number of Rialto High School students had a race related fight the day before that culminated in three teens being shot in a park on Wednesday. The investigators suspect gang activity due to the individuals involved. One of the teens hospitalized remains in critical condition.
Authorities say that the shooting, which happened at around 1;30pm, was only brought to their attention because friends of the victims drove the injured teens to the hospital. Names of the victims have not been released as police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened and why.
