Man Finally Sentenced In Los Angeles

In September of 2008 a Long Beach man, Anthony Jerome Hall Jr., was convivted of badly beating and killing his
girlfriend's 1 year old baby. Hall was babysitting the child when he beat the baby and even used a blunt object or possibly his foot to kill the child. When he was pulled from the trash where Hall dumped him the baby's head rolled back as if it were only barely attached.
This February Hall was sentenced to 25 years to life for the crime. He was convicted of second degree murder which only holds a punishment of fifteen years, however, the child abuse charges he was convicted of holds a 25 year sentence. State law required that the harsher punishment be given.
