Camarillo Carjacker Arrested At San Ysidro Border Crossing
A Canadian man wanted in connection with a carjacking that took place in Camarillo was arrested last month as he tried to take the stolen vehicle across the Mexican border at San Ysidro. US Customs officials stopped the carjacker, Eric Plourde, 32 of Quebec, as part of a routine check at the border. Plourde fled in the vehicle, which he crashed after a brief pursuit. He exited the vehicle and fled, but was apprehended after a short chase. He was returned to Ventura County to face charges related to the carjacking.
