Indecent Exposure Charges For Oak View Man

Indecent Exposure Charges For Oak View Man
Indecent exposure charges were filed against an Oak View man who is a suspect in a number of indecent exposure incidents in Ventura County. Undercover officers observed the man engaged in a sex act while watching a group of school children. The children apparently did not see the man or his actions.
Police arrested Brandon Torres on four misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure and four counts of child annoyance, along with a single charge of lewd conduct. Police had sought a suspect in a number of similar incidents that had been reported to police in the weeks leading up to Torres' arrest. Police announced that they were looking for a suspect in indecent exposure incidents involving middle school-aged children on February 27, April 8, April 23, April 28 and April 30. Torres was arrested May 1, and is suspected in at least four of the earlier incidents.
If you've been arrested on misdemeanor indecent exposure charges, don't make the mistake of confusing misdemeanor with "not serious." Even with a misdemeanor sex crime conviction, you can still be required to register on California's sex offender registry. This type of stigma can result in harassment, the inability to find a rental home, the loss of income or regular employment, and the inability to find a job after conviction.
A conviction related to a sex crime is a very serious matter; removal from the sex offender registry is difficult, and done only under a very limited number of circumstances. Don't jeopardize your future with a misdemeanor sex crimes conviction.
