Howard K. Stern Arrested On Drug Charges

Howard K. Stern Arrested On Drug Charges
Howard K. Stern, the companion of the late Anna Nicole Smith, was arrested on charges related to the entertainer's death. Stern and two other people, both medical doctors, face drug charges for allegedly supplying Smith with controlled substances in the months prior to her death.
Stern was arrested in Whittier, and given a bail of $20,000. Sandeep Kapoor, 40, and Khristine Eroshevich, 61, are accused of prescribing medication unlawfully to the entertainer, given her known status as a drug addict. Kapoor was arrested and booked in Whittier. A warrant for Eroshevich's arrest has been issued.
In addition to facing drug charges, the three face conspiracy to provide controlled substance charges that cover the period between June 2004 and January 2007. Smith died in February 2007 from an overdose just months after she had given birth to a daughter. Smith's son, Daniel also died from a drug overdose a few months prior to Smith's own death.
