LA Fuel Theft Leads To Charges
Los Angeles police have arrested a city worker in connection with fuel thefts totaling more than $50,000. Raymond Mark, 44, of Los Angeles was arrested and charged with grand theftafter stealing fuel from a city maintenance yard and reselling it. Another man was also arrested for receiving stolen property.
The police will also present additional evidence against Mark that could lead to commercial burglary, theft, criminal profiteering and Department of Motor Vehicles fraud. Police estimate that the street value of the stolen fuel exceeded $250,000.
