El Monte Man Arrested For Internet Sex Crimes

El Monte Man Arrested For Internet Sex Crimes
The California Highway Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of an El Monte man in relation to the commission of Internet sex crimes. Christian Hernandez, 29, disclosed on his application to become a California Highway Patrol officer that he had viewed child pornography on the Internet within a month of filing his application.
Hernandez consented to allow the CHP to search his home, where police discovered sexually explicit photos of a 5-year-old girl. The pictures appear to have been taken in the bedroom of Hernandez' home. Hernandez was arrested and booked on charges of committing a lewd act with a child, and faces federal charges of possessing and manufacturing child pornography.
