Drug Trafficking Charges For Men Running Meth Lab In Mayor's House
Last week, Los Angeles police arrested two men accused of running a methamphetamine lab in one of Bell mayor Oscar Hernandez' rental homes. Police described the operation as large, saying that the "super lab" could produce as much as 20 pounds of methamphetamine at one time.
Police say that one of the men they arrested rented the home from the mayor. Police also removed two small children, ages 2 and 3, from the home at the time of the raid. Hazardous materials teams were called to the site to remove toxic chemicals.
The men face drug trafficking charges and child endangerment charges stemming from the raid and the environment in which the two children were found.
