Arson Charges In Pacoima Woman's Death

Arson Charges In Pacoima Woman's Death
Los Angeles police arrested 37-year old John Herreres in connection with an arson fire that may have claimed the life of 65-year old Betty Olgivie. The fire department was called to the apartment building June 11 after the building manager noticed that smoke was seeping from underneath Olgivie's door. Firefighters entered the unit and discovered that the blaze had extinguished itself, but found the bodies of Olgivie and a small dog. Autopsy results were pending, but Herreres could face additional charges, including murder based on the coroner's findings.
