Ventura Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested

Ventura Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested
Ventura County Sheriff's deputies working with the Ventura Police Department arrested a man suspected in an attempted Ventura sexual assault at a church on Henderson Road last week. Police arrested Sean Toner after a brief search of the area where the alleged assault took place. Toner is accused of attempting to sexually assault a woman in the bathroom of Sacred Heart Church, and threatening her with a piece of broken glass. The woman broke free and escaped. The suspect fled the scene but was spotted a short time later by police near Darling Road and Saticoy Avenue. As police approached, the man fled. With the help of a K-9 team and air support from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, Toner was located in a nearby yard and arrested.
