Ventura Sex Offender Gets 12 Years

Ventura Sex Offender Gets 12 Years
A Ventura sex offender was sentenced to twelve years in prison despite the prosecutor's request for a longer sentence. David Grenville, of Ventura, was convicted in 2008 of molesting three boys over a period of years. All of the victims were 12 years old. In May, Grenville pleaded guilty to one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and two counts of lewd acts on a child. Grenville also had a misdemeanor conviction of molesting two other boys, which dated to 2002. Prosecutors argued that the prior conviction, the number of victims and the estimated number of offenses against his victims should have warranted a harsher prison sentence.
