Oxnard Man Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

Oxnard Man Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges
An Oxnard man was arrested last week on domestic violence charge and for making criminal threats against his girlfriend who shares a home with the suspect. Police say that the victim called police after May banged her head on the ground and attempted to strangle her during an argument. The responding officers called for backup when May, who was in an upstairs bedroom in the home, threatened to stab any officers who came near him.
The police negotiated with May for several hours before firing pepperballs into the bedroom. May surrendered without incident. When May was arrested, he was carrying a pair of scissors.
