Connecticut Sex Offender Arrested After Contact With TO Girl
A registered sex offender in Connecticut was charged there with engaging in lewd sexual acts over the Internet with a 13-year-old Thousand Oaks girl. The girl said that she and the suspect, Jeffrey Boushee, of Norwich, CT, used a webcam to engage in explicit sexual acts and exchanged lewd photographs. The girl then reported the incident to her parents, who in turn, reported the encounters to the police.
Police offers from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department then assumed the girl's identity and communicated online with the suspect to develop more evidence against him. Boushee was arrested at his home last week and faces charges related to the matter in Connecticut. The Ventura County Sheriff's Department also requested an arrest warrant for Boushee for sending harmful materials to a minor and committing lewd acts with a child. Authorities in Ventura County have not yet determined whether they will seek Boushee's extradition.
