LAPD Arrests Inspector In Bribery Case
The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a Los Angeles Fire Department inspector for allegedly accepting a
. Dennis Archie of Thousand Oaks, CA is accused of accepting a $500 payment in connection with his inspection of a board and care facility. According to detectives, the payment was made in exchange for Archer's authorization of changes the operator wanted to make to the building.
According to the LAPD, they received information that Archer was asking for payments in exchange for inspection approvals. Acting on that information, the police department set up a sting operation. The Los Angeles Fire Department is cooperating with the investigation.
