Elementary School Administrator Arrested On Drug Charges
Police in San Bernardino arrested an elementary school vice principal on drug charges after being called to the scene of a shooting that involved the woman's husband.
Allegra Fromby has worked for the San Bernardino City Unified School District since 1996, and was arrested at a shopping center on West Foothill Blvd after police responded to a call for help following a shooting. Her husband, Charles Fromby, was shot three times by a man in the parking lot of the shopping center and was taken to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening wounds.
While investigating the shooting, police discovered that Allegra Fromby was driving a van that contained marijuana packaged for sale. Allegra Fromby was accused of transporting and possessing marijuana for sale. Prior to this incident, Allegra Fromby had never been arrested, but her husband has been arrested three times since 1997 for possession of marijuana and was convicted on one of the three charges. Police have not said whether the shooting was drug-related.
