Adelanto Man Charged With Stealing His Television
An Adelanto couple was arrested by the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department after learning that the pair had attempted to report a leased television as having been stolen. The couple reported the theft to Aaron's Rent-A-Center, where they had acquired the set as part of a lease agreement.
An employee of the rental agency discovered that the couple still had the set at their home, and reported the incident to the Sheriff's office. A search warrant was served on the residence, and the television was located inside. The man faces a theft with priors charge as well as a charge of making a false police report. The Sheriff's office has not yet requested charges against the woman, but may seek them at a later date.
