Two Arrested In Murder of Transient

Two homeless men were arrested in connection with the murder of a third homeless man in Redlands. Vincent M. Richardson was beaten by Kenneth Harris and Thomas Murray late Saturday and died Sunday at the Loma Linda University Medical Center from his injuries.

Police have determined that the three men were involved in a series of altercations that began around 10:00 PM Saturday, March 28 near the Redlands Mall. After the last confrontation, Richardson was able to walk to an alley behind an animal hospital where he collapsed. He was discovered on Sunday morning by employees of the animal hospital. Richardson was taken to the Loma Linda University Medical Center, but never regained consciousness and died early Sunday morning.

Using witness statements and evidence at the scene of the assaults, police were able to identify Harris and Murray as persons of interest in the case. Both men were arrested separately on Monday.
